I had never even heard of these guys when I saw them play with Throwdown and 18 Visions at Gilman in late 2001 but when they came out and played I was totally blown away by what I heard. This amazingly huge thick wall of sound and power was coming in through my ears and I loved every second. These guys don't fuck around. They play super heavy hardcore to the point where it is almost death metal but the breakdowns are there and ripping mid-range vocals to scream along to. Add in some keyboards used totally approprietely and you've got one awesome band. I picked up their CD "Dust To Ashes" and was equally impressed. It didn't leave my CD player for weeks. When it comes to metal influenced hardcore Bleeding Through is at the top of the game. If they stick together and get some good connections they'll be huge. Check them out. The live shot below were taken at that show at Gilman, 2001. In addition to "Dust To Ashes", they released "Portrait of a Goddess", and the newest, "This Is Love... This Is Murderous". Finally, they've recently released a DVD called "This Is Live, This Is Murderous" which was filmed at the Glasshouse in Pomona in January of 2004.
